Meet our providers
Emiliano S. Higuera, MD.
Pediatrics of Queen Creek is pleased to welcome our new provider, Emiliano S. Higuera, MD.
Dr. Higuera is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and also attended the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine Post-Baccalaureate Program.
He did his residency at Phoenix ChildrenÕs Hospital, where he worked for three years before joining Pediatrics of Queen Creek.
Dr. Higuera lives with his wife, who is also a Pediatrician at our office, and three children in Gilbert.
Griselda Higuera, MD.
After completing medical school at the University of Wisconsin in 2009, Dr. Higuera and her husband moved to Arizona and began the pediatric residency program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center.
Dr. Higuera joined Pediatrics of Queen Creek in April 2013. She is committed to a compassionate, open relationship with her patients and families and strives to work together to provide comprehensive, personalized health care.
Dr. Higuera, and her husband, also a pediatrician, have been married for 15 years and live with their 3 children in Gilbert. She enjoys spending quiet time at home with family, traveling, movies and tasting new foods.
Emilia E. Gomez, MD.
Dr. Gomez is a board certified Pediatrician, who knew from an early age that she wanted to be a “doctor for children and teenagers”. She and her husband moved to Arizona in 2006, shortly after marrying, and then began her pediatric residency program in 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
She took over Pediatrics of Queen Creek upon finishing her residency in 2010. At her graduation she was given the 2010 The Walt Vikram Award, granted to the graduate that had demonstrated the most exemplary compassion in the care of newborns.
She has worked with community programs to teach and educate the public on several health topics. She has a special interest in educating parents about healthy eating, breastfeeding and helping those families dealing with asthma.
Dr. Gomez is a mother of 2: a very funny and active boy and a loud and happy daughter. They enjoy traveling and their special Friday movie nights at home.
